Documentation: Reports
Reports
The Reports area gives you snapshots and detailed lists about your Lodge—age profile, ranks, statuses, attendance and more—plus a set of specific reports you can print or export as needed.
Dashboard Charts
On the Reports landing page you’ll see charts for:
- Age Profile of Members: Based on Dates of Birth in Member profiles; shows mean average too.
- Lodge Rank Profile: Counts of members by Rank.
- Member Statuses: Active, Resigned, Deceased, etc.
- Event Attendance: Percentage of confirmed attendance over the last 12 months.
- Member Type: Composition by joining type.
Exporting Chart Data
Each chart includes an Export Data link at the bottom. Clicking this downloads a CSV file containing:
- A summary of the data shown in the chart
- A detailed list of individual members with the relevant information
For example, the Age Profile export includes the count per age bracket plus a full member list with names, dates of birth, and ages. The Event Attendance export shows attendance percentages per event plus a matrix of which members attended or did not attend each event over the last 12 months.
Downloaded files are named with your Lodge name and number for easy identification (e.g. Demo Lodge 1234 - Age Profile Report.csv).
Filtering Reports by Tag
Many of the member reports (Birthdays, Masonic Birthdays, Wedding Anniversaries, Summons & Minutes Recipients, the Sharable Members List and the Attendance Report) now include a Filter by Tag option. Choose a specific Tag, or "any"/"no" Tags, to narrow the report to just those members. Tags are managed under Settings & Defaults.
Specific Reports
The Reports page groups reports into categories - Membership, Attendance & Engagement, Lifecycle & Careers, and Lists & Recipients:
- Members with a specific Role: Select a Lodge Role and see all Members with that role, whether Active or Past, including years held.
- Membership Trend: Joins versus leavers by year, with a net-change chart - ideal for showing how the Lodge is growing at an annual meeting. Join dates come from each Member's Masonic Career events; leavers from their Leaving Date.
- Attendance Insights: Per-member attendance over a date range you choose, split into halves to highlight members whose attendance is Declining or who have Lapsed - so you can reach out before they drift away.
- Arrears Report: Every outstanding or part-paid invoice grouped by member, with aging buckets and a Dues-only toggle. Requires the Treasurer permission as well as Reports.
- Degree Progression: Tracks members through your Order's progression (for Craft: Initiated → Passed → Raised) and lists who is awaiting their next step. The progression steps come from your Order, or you can set your own under Settings & Defaults - so this works for any Order, not just Craft.
- Officer Succession: Every Office your Lodge has defined, its current holder and years served, flagging long-serving and unfilled Offices for succession planning.
- Member’s Birthdays: Next birthday date for each member; click a row to open a member.
- Member’s Masonic Birthdays: Next anniversary of Initiation with years since; click to open Masonic tab.
- Member’s Wedding Anniversaries: Next wedding anniversary for each member, with their partner's name - ideal for pastoral contact. Set the anniversary on the Member's Basic Info tab.
- Welfare Report: All Open Welfare Events across the Lodge plus the last 12 months of Support & Disbursements (monetary and non-monetary) with a total. Only visible to users with the Almoner / Welfare permission.
- Summons Recipients: Members and Contacts marked to receive the Summons, with copy-to-clipboard email list.
- Minutes Recipients: Members and Contacts marked to receive Minutes, with copy-to-clipboard email list.
- Filter Members: Build custom member lists by status, role, dues, or tag.
- Print Upcoming Planner: Printable 90‑day outlook including Events, Reminders, and Birthdays.
- Ritual Competence: Per ceremony and ritual, shows members and their competence level.
- Attendance Report: Interactive report for attendance insights over time.
- Sharable Members List: GDPR‑aware member contacts list suitable for controlled sharing.
Report Builder
The Report Builder lets you create your own member report from scratch. Choose which members to include using the same filters as the member list (name, rank, office, status, tag and custom fields), then tick exactly which columns you want - from contact details and career dates to Tags and, if you have the Treasurer permission, dues level and outstanding balance. If you have the Almoner / Welfare permission you can also add an Open Welfare Items column, which lists each member's unresolved welfare events (type, date and notes). A live preview shows the matching members as you go.
Give your report a name and Save it to reuse later - saved reports appear on the Reports landing page, where you can re-open, download as CSV, or delete them.
Scheduled Reports
When saving a report you can choose to have it emailed to you (or any address) automatically, weekly or monthly. The Working Tools sends the report as a CSV attachment on your chosen day. If the address doesn't belong to a user or member of your Lodge, you'll be shown a warning and asked to explicitly confirm before the schedule is accepted, since the report contains member personal data. If the report includes the confidential Open Welfare Items column and the recipient isn't the Lodge owner or a delegate with the Almoner / Welfare permission, you'll be asked to confirm that separately as well. For everyone's protection, scheduled reports only continue to send while the person who created them still has access to the Lodge and permission to view reports, and any columns they no longer have permission for (such as financial or welfare columns) are automatically dropped from the sent file.
Tips
- Many tables are clickable; select a row to jump to the relevant Member/Contact/Role page.
- Most reports offer a Print this Report link that opens a clean, printable version.
- Ensure core data (DOB, Rank, Status, Joining Type) is maintained for accurate charts.
